Walk away from everything that stifles, restraints, represses, silences, belittles you. Walk away from everything that makes you stressed, nervous, afraid, unsettled, livid, bitter and desolate. Walk away with grace, with dignity, with head held high. Hold back the tears and just walk away. Keep walking, till you are you again, in the new sunshine.
Correct… Agree with your poem ππ»ππ»

Wonderfully penned! I was able to do this 17 years ago from a 18 1/2 year toxic marriage. A 1/2 a lifetime ago! π

Job, ex-husband….same thing! My job was getting stressful when I was laid off in March due to covid. I was there 11 1/2 years. Happy that you have removed yourself from that environment! π

I’m sending this back in time to myself 15 to 20 years ago. One thing about stress is that if it’s an occasional thing in small amounts, it can help us grow. But if it’s chronic, ongoing, or unnecessary, walk away.

Congratulations! I’ve been there, but it took 30 years. Isn’t freedom great?!
